March 26, 2021 — At yesterday’s Region of Peel Council meeting, Councillor Stephen Dasko, put forward a motion for Council’s consideration that residents be permitted two additional bags of waste to be collected as part of the bi-weekly residential waste collection, without the requirement of purchasing bag tags. This will take effect during the eight week period from May 3 until June 25, 2021. Councillor Dasko was pleased that this was passed unanimously at Regional Council.
“Last year we witnessed an increase in spring cleaning due to the first COVID lockdown. This spring having a plan in place is crucial to allow residents to safely and easily dispose of their waste” said Councillor Dasko.
