Lakeshore East Corridor Community Workshop

Starting immediately, Peel residents 65 years and older can book COVID-19 vaccine appointments at select vaccine clinics in the region.

Clinics located at William Osler’s Chinguacousy Wellness Centre and Brampton Civic Hospital, and Trillium Health Partners’ Mississauga Hospital and University of Toronto, Mississauga (UTM) sites are taking bookings today. Appointments will be available as soon as next week. Read More

Peel residents who are 65 years and older, as well as Indigenous adults (First Nations, Inuit and Métis 18 years and older) are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, please see below for instructions on how to book.

Booking Appointments for 65 years and older

You can book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment below if you meet both of the following criteria:

  • 65 years or older (born in 1956 or earlier)
  • AND
  • Are a resident of Peel or live within the Trillium Health Partners catchment area, including Mississauga and Etobicoke

R, K. McMillan Park, 830 Aviation Road – Ward 1 – Update

There are a number of life cycle repairs in Lakefront Promenade Park and R. K. McMillan Park that include the reconstruction of asphalt trails, replacement of wooden boardwalks, concrete paving, stone retaining walls, and marina boardwalk light bollards.  Some of these projects are complete, and some have been delayed due to the Provincial Order and COVID-19 construction stoppage and material availability.  Work will reconvene shortly, as delays are dealt with and the targeted completion is the spring of 2021 pending no further delays or industry impacts. Please note that the above will be filming interior scenes for a TV series “Dark Windows” at 1359 Birchwood Heights Dr from April 1, 4 – 6 including prep and wrap. Times vary by day.

A permit has been issued to allow parking on:

  • One side of Birchwood Heights Dr from Mineola Rd W to Kenollie Ave (cube vans only, supervision of Peel Regional Police required on site)

A permit has also been issued to allow maximum 3-minute traffic stoppages not between the hours of 7:00am to 9:00am and  4:00pm to 6:00pm under the supervision of Peel Regional Police and a camera is permitted on the roadway and boulevard as long as two-way traffic is maintained at all times.

Production has also been granted permission to park crew vehicles at Port Credit Arena (40 Stavebank Rd, Ward 1) on April 5 from 7:00am – 2:00pm.
