July 27, 2021
On August 2, 2021, MiWay is adjusting schedules on various routes to ensure that service is available where and when customers need it, as travel patterns continue to change based on the COVID-19 recovery framework. MiWay continues to monitor all routes in the transit system and will adjust service levels to respond to customers’ needs.
August 2 service changes include:
- Schedule changes to support service reliability
- Route 14/14A Lorne Park
- Route 16/16A Malton
- Route 66 McLaughlin
- More passenger carrying capacity on busy corridors
Due to an increase in customer demand, larger buses will be used to provide some trips on Route 103 Hurontario Express to reduce the potential for overcrowding.
- Holiday service
On Civic Holiday (Monday, August 2), buses will operate on a holiday schedule. Some routes will not operate due to low customer demand, including:
- 28 Confederation
- 35 Eglinton-Ninth Line
- 46 Tenth Line-Osprey
- 48 Erin Mills
- 68 Terry Fox
More information about these and other service changes is available at miway.ca/aug2.
Customers are encouraged to use PRESTO as a contactless way to pay. With PRESTO, your transfer is active for two hours from when you first tap your card on the bus (and you don’t need a paper transfer).
Wearing a mask is still required under City by-law when riding MiWay and in all indoor public spaces, including inside transit terminal buildings.
