Metrolinx is providing notification that Mobilinx will be starting work in the parking lot of Port Credit GO Station in the near future. Crews will place fencing around working areas on site in both the North and South parking lots. Fencing will not only help keep commuters and community members safe, it will also offer the project the first big signage opportunity in the community.
Metrolinx does not anticipate the work to have any significant impacts for commuters or community members at this time. Noise and dust onsite will be monitored. Pedestrians will have clearly marked pathways in order to reach the station, and there is no plan to close either entrance. There will be a reduction in parking at the GO Station, and a small number of our reserved parking spaces will need to be relocated to another area of the station.
