The City of Mississauga is planning to offer a variety of summer day camp programs that include: Summer Fun Camp (4.5 to 12 years old), Outdoor Explorers Camp (8 to 10 years old) and Outdoor Leadership Camp (10 to 12 years old). The City is opening up registration for these summer camps on Tuesday, May 25 at 6 a.m. to Mississauga residents and June 1 to non-residents. Registration for the camps is required and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Today at Council, MiWay virtually announced the 2020-2021 MiWay Student Ambassador winners. Students helped promote the benefits of taking public transit as part of the eleventh year of the program, which included 37 ambassadors representing 25 Mississauga schools. Read More

Alectra Utility is currently working with Metrolinx on the Regional Express Rail (RER)/GO Electrification program. This program impacts the Lakeshore West and Kitchener GO lines through Mississauga, where if there is an existing overhead poleline/conductor crossing, it must be converted to an underground cable crossing, to make room for the overhead Catenary system that Metrolinx is installing to supply future electric trains.
