Region of Peel Pride Celebrations

June is Pride month in Peel and we’re recognizing our vibrant LGBTQ2S+ communities and hosting a virtual event on June 23rd

June 3, 2021

The Region has raised the Pride flag to mark June’s month-long Pride celebration. Events are planned across the Region to recognize and celebrate our vibrant and diverse LGBTQ2S+ communities.

As a community leader, and together with our municipal partners, we are committed to addressing barriers and challenges that disadvantage LGBTQ2S+ residents, and taking action to make Peel a truly inclusive community where all residents feel respected and supported.

Join our virtual Pride event, Peel’s LGBTQ2S+ Communities: The Complexities Within, on June 23rd from 6:00pm – 7:15pm featuring speakers from QTBIPOC sauga and Moyo Health and Community Services. The evening will include discussion about complexities within the Two-Spirit and LGBTQ+ communities, including the racialized experience and health inequities that have been intensified through COVID. Learn more and register here.

We invite all Peel residents to participate in our many virtual community-driven events across the Region.
