NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE NO. 3 – Port Credit East Water and Wastewater Servicing Optimization Strategy Schedule C Class Environmental Assessment

Background:
The existing sanitary pumping stations (SPS): Elmwood, Hiawatha and Rosemere and some of the sanitary sewer mains and watermains in the general Port Credit East area are experiencing operational challenges.

The Region of Peel initiated this Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to develop an integrated and optimized servicing strategy to meet the needs of the existing community and provide for future growth (Figure 1).

Your Input is Important
You are invited to an in-person Public Information Centre (PIC) No. 3 to learn more about the study and to give feedback to the project team. All content and instructions on how to submit questions and feedback on this material will be posted on the project website. PIC No. 3:
This PIC will be presenting the preliminary preferred design concepts for the water and sanitary servicing strategies, which includes the following elements:
• New Deep Trunk Sewer on Lakeshore Road
• New Sub-Transmission Watermain on Lakeshore Road
• New Rosemere SPS and construction of associated Twinned Forcemains
• Decommissioning of Elmwood and Hiawatha SPS and construction of new Gravity Sewers

Date and Time: Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Location: Clarke Memorial Hall – Main Hall | 161 Lakeshore Rd. W., Mississauga, ON, L5H 1G3

PIC No. 3 materials will be posted on the project website following the in-person PIC event. This will be followed by a two-week question submission period closing on June 28, 2023.
