LAKESHORE BUS RAPID TRANSIT (BRT) STUDY
Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP) and Preliminary DesignunderOntarioRegulation 231/08.

The Project
TheStudy will assess the potential environmental effects associated with dedicated centre-running bus rapid transit (BRT) lanes for a two (2) km section of Lakeshore Road from Etobicoke Creek to East Avenue.

Several background studies pertaining to the natural, cultural, and socio-economic environments of the study area have been completed. Key findings from these studies will be presented at Virtual Public Open House #2.

The Process
The environmental impact of this transit project is being assessed according to the transit project assessment process (TPAP) as prescribed in Ontario Regulation 231/08, Transit Projects and Metrolinx Undertakings. As part of the TPAP, an Environmental Project Report (EPR) is being prepared.The EPR will be finalized and made available for a 30-day public and agency review on the Study website after a Notice of Completion has been issued.

The evaluation of alternative AT bridge design solutions and the preferred design will be presented at Virtual Public Open House #2.

Consultation
Anyone with an interest in any of the three project scan get involved and provide input. All open houses are planned to take place virtually at this time but may be changed to in-person as Ontario’s public health and safety guidelines allow.

How to Participate

There are two ways to participate.Review Online Material and Provide Input

WHEN: Visit the Project Website anytime between March 21 to April 8, 2022 to view background information, project progress and preliminary project impacts. Materials are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be able to provide input directly on the site through responding to survey questions.WHERE: Provide input online atmississauga.ca/lakeshore-transportation

Join the Virtual Information Meeting

WHEN: There will be a Virtual Live Meeting on March 30, 2022 from 6:30:00 to 7:30 p.m. The project team will provide an overview presentation and answer your questions. The presentation recording will be available on the website after the meeting. Visit the website to register for the meeting and to submit questions in advance.
