Mississauga Road Closure – between Kane Road and Front Street
From Wednesday October 12th to Monday October 17th

Background
Metrolinx will be carrying out repairs to the existing railway bridge that crosses over Mississauga Road between Front Street and Kane Road. This work is necessary to ensure continued public safety, and the continued safe operation of train movements over the bridge. In order to access the railway corridor, our crews will be utilizing the existing gate into the Lakeshore West corridor off of Front Street between Mississauga Road and the Port Credit Royal Canadian Legion.

What work is taking place?
Construction crews will be working a combination of days and nights starting on Wednesday October 12th to Monday October 17th. Please note that work may begin as early as October 10th for preliminary work.

Timing and what to expect?
On Wednesday October 12th and Thursday October 13th, crews will be working nights between 8p.m. to 5a.m. on the roadway. The roadway will be completely closed to vehicles between the hours of 1a.m. and 5a.m. During this time, there will be heavy machinery traveling down Front Street and occupying the roadway below the bridge. We kindly request that the curb and street be kept clear of any parked vehicles. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
On Friday October 14th from 8p.m. continuously until 5 a.m. on Monday October 17th, Mississauga Road between Kane Road and Front Street will be completely closed to vehicle traffic. There will be heavy machinery on the bridge and a crane will be occupying Mississauga Road just south of the bridge. The pedestrian tunnel to the west of the bridge will remain open to the public to pass, and temporary pedestrian protection systems and temporary fence will be installed at the limits of the work zone.
