The City of Mississauga is recognizing Invasive Species Awareness Week from February 21 to 27, 2021. The week encourages residents to care for their local environments by learning more about invasive species in their community. Cultural and Community groups throughout Mississauga will benefit from $4 million in grant funding as approved by Mississauga City Council today. Seventy-five groups, including 12 groups previously approved for multi-year funding, were recommended in a staff report to receive financial support from the City for 2021. Funding will be adjusted for events that are cancelled or adapted to virtual or modified in-person events due to COVID-19 restrictions. Read More

On Tuesday, February 16, MiWay will restore school bus route services as schools reopen in Peel Region. Service on nine 300-series school routes will resume and additional supplementary trips will be added to other local routes that serve high schools in Mississauga. Read More
