Update: Overnight Work on the Lakeshore West Rail Corridor at Port Credit Station Continues

What work is taking place?
With the construction of the “Push Box” structure complete, construction crews will continue with micro-piling activities and the installation temporary track supports within the railway corridor at Port Credit Station near Hurontario Street. These activities are expected to continue from March 2022 to late May 2022. This critical infrastructure will allow for excavation activities to continue while the underpass structure is pushed into place with minimal disruption to train movements overhead. Hurontario LRT: Park St E to Eaglewood Blvd Sidewalk Closure

Beginning Wednesday January 27, 2022, a portion of the sidewalk on the East side of Hurontario from Park Street to Eaglewood Boulevard will be closed for four months.

The sidewalk closure is scheduled in order to construct a retaining wall in relation to the Hurontario LRT project. There will be construction signage to notify pedestrians of the construction and to direct pedestrians to the sidewalk on the West side of Hurontario Street.

Hurontario LRT: Virtual Fall Engagement – November 15-26, 2021

Now under construction, this exciting transit project is bringing 18 kilometers of smooth, fast, reliable rapid transit to Mississauga and Brampton along the Hurontario corridor. The project will mean a doubling of the corridor’s capacity to move people while reducing congestion. The Hurontario Light Rail Transit (LRT) project will operate on a dedicated lane, avoiding traffic disruptions, providing residents and businesses in Peel with clean, electrically powered, convenient and integrated transit.
