Spring is approaching and with it, the return of Mississauga Library’s seventh annual Seed Library program. As part of this program, Mississauga residents can donate seeds, grow their gardening skills in online workshops and order seeds free of charge to plant. Thanks to seed donations from the community, seed packages were distributed to over 550 residents across the city in 2020, helping them experience the joy of growing their own plants, fruit, vegetables and herbs. The Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB) has been part of the Lakeview community since 1939. The City of Mississauga opened the south portion of the building in 2018 to serve as a community cultural hub. It offers 18,000 square feet of flexible, open concept space available for shared use during public hours and is available as a rental space.
