City of Mississauga Following Provincial Plan to Safely Reopen

On October 22, the Government of Ontario announced a Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario and Manage COVID-19 for the Long-Term which includes lifting remaining capacity restrictions in places where proof of vaccination is required.

“This is a promising sign that we are heading in the right direction and getting life back to normal,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “I know that businesses have had an incredibly difficult 18 months with repeated closures and changing capacity limits. I am hopeful that this plan will provide much needed relief and a light at the end of the tunnel, as well as allow many of our businesses to get back on their feet.” Read More

Please note that the above will be filming interior and exteriors scenes for a feature “Most Dangerous Game” at the Small Arms Inspection Building (1352 Lakeshore Rd E, Ward 1) on November 1st, 5:00am-11:00pm. Prep will be taking place Oct 25-29th between 8:00am-7:00pm (no work on weekend) and wrap will be taking place Nov 2-4th between 7:00am-7:00pm.

Coyotes and Community Safety – Community Virtual Meeting on November 9th, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.

The public registration link is now available for the upcoming coyote, safety/awareness, information session scheduled for Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, from 6:30pm to 8pm.

The content of the presentation will include general information/awareness regarding wild canids, both fox and coyote, public safety, City initiatives to address issues and the negative impacts of wildlife feeding (turkey’s, rodents, habituated canids).

Peel 2051 is the Region’s Official Plan Review and Municipal Comprehensive Review (MCR), which will help us better plan for the future by taking action on new population and employment forecasts, responding to public and stakeholder feedback, and complying with new provincial legislation, plans, and policies.
