Re: Ward 1 – Community Virtual Meeting
579-619 Lakeshore Road East and 1022, 1028 Caven Street
The City of Mississauga has received a development application from Star Seeker Inc., 619 Lakeshore Inc., 1022 Caven Inc., and 1028 Caven Inc. The proposal is to redevelop 579 – 619 Lakeshore Road East (Shoppers Drug Mart Plaza and neighbouring commercial building) as well as two adjacent residential properties at 1022 Caven Street and 1028 Caven Street.
In order to implement their plans, the applicant is proposing Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning applications to permit two 6 storey buildings with ground floor commercial uses on Lakeshore Road East and three 16 storey residential towers in the interior of the property.
The community virtual meeting I am hosting is being held to provide residents with more information and to have a transparent discussion on the proposed development.

THE STUDY
The Region of Peel is commencing the 2051 Transportation Master Plan (2051 TMP) study to identify a transportation solution to accommodate future growth to 2051. The 2051 TMP will integrate strategies to advance the Region’s other key priorities including road safety, goods movement, and sustainable transportation into one plan that will guide investment in transportation infrastructure and programming.
