COVID-19 vaccine school pop-up clinics open for youth 12 and older in Peel Region

Local school-based pop-up locations in Peel offer expanded options for COVID-19 vaccine to youth.

Beginning Saturday June 5, 2021, youth in Peel can receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a variety of familiar school pop-up locations. Walk-in appointments are available for youth enrolled in special education programs, or youth seeking a different environment from a mass clinic experience.

Planning was completed in consultation with school boards in Peel.  Second doses will be provided at the same location in August. Read More

Today, the Government of Ontario extended the Stay-at-Home Order until at least June 2, 2021. The Stay-at-Home Order requires everyone to remain at home except for essential reasons, such as grocery shopping, going to the pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated), outdoor exercise or for work that cannot be done remotely. In-home vaccine appointments for Homebound Adults

The Region of Peel is offering in-home vaccine appointments for those who cannot physically leave their home to receive the vaccine. This could be due to medical, social, or other cognitive reasons.

Adults who require this type of appointment do not need to use the provincial booking system. They are required to fill out a form on the Region of Peel’s website. Once received, Peel Public Health will confirm your appointment time. Read More

Let’s Move, Mississauga! Get Outside and Be Active While Staying Safe – May 18 to 24

Lace up your shoes, tune up your bikes and let’s get ready to move! The City of Mississauga’s Road Safety Committee and Traffic Safety Council are launching a Let’s Move, Mississauga event during the week of May 18 to 24. Residents of all ages and abilities – including students learning online – are encouraged to get outside and be active, while staying safe and following the rules of the road. During the week-long event, participants in Mississauga are encouraged to walk, jog, wheelchair, cycle or use any other form of active transportation along with members of their household. Read More
