Protecting Mississauga’s Tree Canopy with Updated By-laws

Councillor Stephen Dasko is pleased to ANNOUNCE that today, Council approved an updated Public and Private Tree By-law that will take effect April 1, 2022. The changes will ensure that the City’s tree by-laws meet current urban forestry standards and help protect Mississauga’s tree canopy. “I have been working with Staff and the Ratepayer group to have the Tree bylaw reviewed to address the ongoing concerns of the neighbourhoods and am pleased to see we are moving forward to preserve  and protect our environment ” said Councillor Dasko. Temporary changes to curbside waste collection

Residents in the cities of Brampton, Mississauga and the Town of Caledon are advised of continuing waste service changes in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Allowance of 2 excess garbage bags:

Starting Feb.7 to Mar. 4, every household can place up to two extra garbage bags at the curb on their garbage collection day, without requiring bag tags. Residents who have purchased bag tags are advised to hold on to them until March 4. Read More
