A permit has been granted to allow parking on the following:
- Front Street North – North Layby Lot (October 11, 8am – October 12, 4pm)
Production has also been approved for crew vehicle parking onsite at Port Credit Arena (40 Stavebank Rd, Ward 1) on October 12, 7am-11pm.
Affected residents have been informed of these activities via notification letter. A release form survey was sent to residents with less than 34% objecting in order to allow:

Metrolinx is working on replacing the train tracks at the bridge over Mississauga Road. Preliminary work is scheduled to start Tuesday, October 11th and be completed by Friday, October 14th with constructions hours permitted between 11pm to 5am daily. Followed by track replacement starting on Friday October, 14th at 11pm until Monday October, 17th at 5am.
Signs will be installed in advance to advise motorists of the planned temporary road closure. Notices has been delivered to the impacted residents.
When: Preliminary work – October 11th until October 14th from 11pm to 5am daily.
Track replacement – October 14th at 11pm until October 17th at 5am.
Where: Mississauga Road between Kane Road and Front Street North.
Why: For the purpose of replacing train tracks.
On Saturday October 29th, 4-6PM, Christ First United will be hosting a Cabaret Fundraiser Concert with Faith Amour and her gifted Quartet. This event will be held at Christ First church located at 151 Lakeshore Road West, in Port Credit, and will include gourmet snacks by a local chef, with wine available for purchase (cash only). All proceeds from the event will go to The Compass and Christ First.

October is Pedestrian Safety Month. During the fall, the risk of collisions increases when daylight hours shorten. In partnership with the Region of Peel, the City of Mississauga is raising awareness about pedestrian safety, reminding all road users of their responsibility on the road and encouraging students and their families to use active transportation safely on their way to school. October is also International Walk to School Month, which celebrates walking and other forms of active transportation as a healthy and fun way to get to school that benefit students, their communities and the environment. Weekly yard waste collection begins Monday, October 3, 2022, and runs until Friday, December 9, 2022, for residents in the cities of Brampton and Mississauga.

Metrolinx will be carrying out repairs to the existing railway bridge that crosses over Mississauga Road between Front Street and Kane Road. This work is necessary to ensure continued public safety, and the continued safe operation of train movements over the bridge.
