                   Overhead to Underground Conversion

Dear Customer:

Alectra Utilities, your local Hydro Distribution company is committed to providing quality service and a reliable supply of electricity to all our customers. In keeping with this commitment, Alectra Utilities will be converting overhead circuits to underground circuits by installing cables under the railway for the benefit of Metrolinx’s Regional Express Rail Program in your area.

Alectra Utilities will be working primarily on Revus Ave, from the Revus Ave/Marf Ave intersection to just south of the tracks, before the bend in the road.

The Revus Ave rail crossing will be fully closed for the duration of the work. Driveways on both sides of the tracks, including the plaza entrance south of the tracks, will remain open. The surrounding areas of Marf Ave and Revus Ave will be impacted minimally by construction activities.

This project will require significant excavation along the Municipal Road Allowance to relocate the underground and overhead electrical distribution equipment. Additionally, construction vehicles and equipment will be apparent, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Alectra Utilities will adhere to best construction practices ensuring a safe work zone

Furthermore, entrance to driveways may be impacted and every effort to coordinate safe vehicular passage during construction will be made.

Scheduled power interruptions will be required to safely complete the electrical changeover and every attempt will be made to notify you in advance of any interruption of hydro service.

Construction is scheduled to begin JANUARY 9, 2023 and completion is expected in MAY 2023.
